Matchachia

Do you have a real sweet tooth and just can't keep your hands off sweet things? Then giving up sweets is certainly a big problem, especially during a diet. So if you're looking for a way to combine sweet and healthy, a tasty Matcha Chia Pudding exactly what you're looking for. We'll show you how.

What is so special about matcha chia pudding?

The really special thing about matcha chia pudding is that it is not a conventional dessert, but a dessert that consists of two superfoods. On the one hand, the chia seeds, which are high in fiber and protein. And on the other, matcha powder, which is made from ground green tea leaves.

It is not for nothing that matcha tea has been popular in Japan for centuries, as it not only tastes great, but also contains numerous healthy micronutrients such as theanine, polyphenol, iron, potassium and catechins. Scientists believe that the latter in particular can help to strengthen the immune system and protect the body against all kinds of pathogens. Matcha chia pudding is therefore not only delicious and rich in protein, but also extremely healthy.

What you need for the matcha chia pudding:

  • 250 ml milk (alternatively e.g. oat, almond or soy milk)
  • 50 grams of chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 100 grams of wild berries of your choice
  • 1 drop of vanilla flavoring
  • Wild honey or agave syrup to sweeten

How to prepare the matcha chia pudding:

1 - First mix the milk with the matcha powder and add a drop of vanilla flavoring and the honey. It is best to mix the whole thing with the help of a whisk or an electric milk frother.

2 - Once you have mixed all the ingredients together well, pour the milk and chia seeds into a small bowl. Fold in the chia seeds well and leave the mixture to swell in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

3 - As soon as the chia seeds are well swollen, you can add the fresh berries. The choice is yours. Alternatively, you can of course also use other fruits to add even more variety to your diet.
