Almost every food product is now available in a light version. Whether it's cola, cheese or bread, the products entice consumers with supposedly good nutritional values. The calories are low and the fat content is low. Actually, that's exactly what should make you wonder. When something seems so simple, there is a catch. The fat is only replaced by other substances that prevent or complicate your weight loss. An increased sugar value falls mostly still directly in the eye, but sweeteners or salts interest hardly someone. But these substances are unhealthy and you should avoid them at all costs. Your body also needs fats. Nuts and vegetable oil contain healthy fats that you urgently need. Fish also contains important omega three fatty acids.
When you need to go fast
You come home stressed, have only one hour for lunch and no time to cook. You put some ready-made product in the microwave and do other things in the meantime. The nutritional values seem acceptable, the little bit of fat won't hurt. However, it is exactly this fat that is bad for your body, the saturated fatty acids are, to put it bluntly, waste. Even ready meals for the pan are in no way inferior. You will find the said flavor enhancers, salts and other nutrients everywhere again, which you do not want to take. Rather buy consciously, usually fresh fruits and vegetables are not much more expensive. Take your time and cook for yourself. It's not only healthier, it also tastes better.
The fruit products
Instead of unhealthy cornflakes, there's fruit muesli and the fruit drink replaces the cola. However, you only get a few vitamins with these foods. These foods may contain the word fruit, but they are not helpful for your weight loss goals. If you take a closer look at the sugar values, you will quickly notice that they are almost as high as those of cola and co. It's better to do without these "healthy" fatteners for a while. If you have a craving for something sweet in between meals, simply eat real fruit. Sure, the sugar levels aren't optimal either, but they're always better than the convenience foods mentioned above. In addition, you satisfy your cravings and can relax and think about other things.
Losing weight is not easy. We like to make it easy for ourselves and replace our favorite products with the light variety. Unfortunately, it's not that easy in reality. Most of the time, instead of fat, there are other fatteners in the food. Try to focus on fresh products, buy consciously and cook yourself. Of course, this takes time, but your effort will be worth it. You will notice that you are losing weight and once the first successes are visible, you are guaranteed to stay motivated.
