Why Cheat Day is so important

Wieso Der Cheat Day So Wichtig Ist

There are many things in life where you shouldn't cheat on yourself or other people, such as your partner, your computer game or your tax advisor. When dieting, however, it is even advisable to use a so-called Cheat Day you put in. A cheat day means nothing other than that you are allowed to cheat on this day. You can then eat everything that is not allowed in the diet. This may sound undisciplined and inconsistent at first, but a cheat day actually helps you to achieve your goals, such as weight loss or fat burning, more easily. A cheat day helps you lose the fear of failure.

Cheating - the key to success

The term cheating means something like cheating or cheating and is used in sport in weightlifting as well as in certain diets. For example, if you want to complete 12 sets of 15 repetitions with the heaviest weights, you have two options: Either you train until muscle failure occurs or you train your twelve sets consistently but with incorrect technique, as it is impossible to train the entire sets with a correct movement sequence. The second case is called cheating, as you are trying to achieve your goal incorrectly. The purpose of this is to mentally train yourself to think that you can achieve any goal, no matter how difficult it is. Cheating is different with a diet. You can't cheat during the diet. If you do it anyway, you have failed and can give up the diet. A cheat day on a diet means that you are officially allowed to cheat, but only on a specified day. There are very few people who can really stick to a strict diet over a longer period of time. Many people stick to the diet for the first few weeks, but then the hunger for junk food sets in. However, a cheat day can effectively help you lose the fear of failure during the diet.

No fear of failure

A diet is a change in lifestyle that should be carried out in a long-term and disciplined manner. This is the theory, but the body also has a say in the matter. The radical deprivation of important nutrients often leads to a bad mood and cravings. Often you can no longer resist and secretly buy an ice cream, chocolate or your beloved potato chips because you need something sweet or salty. The next day comes the remorse and fear of failure, especially if those around you have noticed this faux pas. Many people who have started a diet are familiar with this situation. You are then labeled a failure who goes through life without discipline. Now everything becomes irrelevant and you stuff your junk food back in uncontrollably. A cheat day solves this problem with flying colors. You can now officially eat your ice cream, chocolate or potato chips without having to give up your diet. You can officially declare to those around you that you can sin today despite your diet. With this realization, all fears fall away, as you know that you can celebrate your cheat day again next Thursday. And if one cheat day is not enough for you at the beginning of the diet, then simply integrate a second cheat day into your diet program. Over time, the cravings for junk food will fade and you will automatically limit or even completely eliminate your cheat days. That's life!
