Even if a relationship is of course something very beautiful, it can sometimes be very stressful to be in a partnership. It is therefore all too understandable that many people prefer to enjoy their single life. And there are some good reasons for this.<\/p>\n

Reason 1 - When you go out, you usually don't really remember it anymore<\/h2>\n

You don't go out often, but when you do, you let your hair down so much that you hardly remember anything about it the next morning. Even if you seem to have had a lot of fun from the pictures of your girlfriends, it's obvious that not all men will be keen to date a woman who is prone to regular alcohol-induced blackouts. However, as in any case, exceptions prove the rule.<\/p>\n

Reason 2 - You're not keen on getting to know your crush's family<\/h2>\n

Walking into a room full of strangers who seem intent on asking you about every detail of your life for the next few minutes and hours is understandably not one of the most pleasant things in the world. And of course, you have a different idea of a perfect Friday night, so you skillfully avoid such situations. However, when things get serious in a relationship, this is no longer so easy.<\/p>\n

Reason 3 - You want to avoid someone getting to know your family<\/h2>\n

Apart from the scary idea of being confronted with your crush's entire family, there is only one situation that is even worse for you. Because the only thing that has even more fatal consequences is meeting your chosen one with your own family - after all, they're all totally crazy.<\/p>\n

Reason 4 - You love having your nice big bed all to yourself<\/h2>\n

Why spend time wondering which side of your king size bed should be yours when you can have it all to yourself? All that space that allows you to roll around on the mattress to your heart's content is just too good to have to share with someone else.<\/p>\n

Reason 5 - You don't feel like stress<\/h2>\n

Relationships are all about interpersonal issues. It's about showing understanding, patience and a willingness to compromise. Unfortunately, these are the three things you want to do the least. To avoid unnecessary stress, you prefer to pull your own weight.<\/p>\n

Reason 6 - You would rather spend time with your male friends<\/h2>\n

Having lots of male friends can bring many advantages and give you a break from the often drama queen-like behavior of your female friends. In relationships, however, things often seem to be reversed, because who says it's always the women who let the diva hang out in a relationship? Since that's not for you, you'd much rather have men as 'buddies' than in the role of a partner.<\/p>\n

Reason 7 - You have problems trusting others blindly<\/h2>\n

You've had so many bad experiences with people you trusted. Even the pizza that was supposed to be delivered to you within 30 minutes was a quarter of an hour late. So how are you supposed to blindly trust a single person when you've been let down by so many people in your life?<\/p>\n

Reason 8 - You have a very unhealthy relationship with Netflix<\/h2>\n

Honestly, you don't need your own relationship, it's enough to use your Netflix account in the way it deserves and watch other people's relationship dramas. What else are you paying your monthly subscription for?<\/p>\n

Reason 9 - Your daily schedule doesn't allow for a committed relationship<\/h2>\n

Get up, go to work, have lunch, work, go to the gym, have dinner, watch Grey's Anatomy, go to bed. You see, your daily schedule leaves no room for a time-consuming relationship.<\/p>\n

Reason 10 - Romantic posturing makes you want to vomit<\/h2>\n

You don't need a softie who's dying in rapturous whispering, but a guy who behaves as if his testosterone production hasn't stopped yet. Because dreamy romantics give you stomach cramps.<\/p>\n

Reason 11 - You'd rather cuddle with a bucket of ice cream than a man<\/h2>\n

The biggest advantage of an intimate relationship with a bucket of ice cream is undoubtedly that the ice cream takes you as you are and doesn't complain about your laziness.<\/p>\n

Reason 12 - You want a relationship for the wrong reasons<\/h2>\n

Of course, it's nice not to have to pay for every dinner at your favorite Italian restaurant or for the cab ride home, or to get a big present from your boyfriend every year for your birthday. If you look at it honestly, these are not necessarily the reasons why you should be in a relationship.<\/p>\n

Reason 13 - You're just too picky when it comes to men<\/h2>\n

He is too small. He shows too many emotions. He talks too much. His laugh is annoying. You'll always find something you don't like about a man. So it takes time for you to find your Mr. Nice Guy.<\/p>\n
